Outdoor Art Experiences
There are plenty of opportunities to have an outdoor art experience on Funen, digitally and "live"
We have compiled a list of our favorite cultural experiences outdoors. If you have an experience you think we need, feel free to write to us.
Museums with outdoor art
Several of the Funen museums offer art in the landscape. Some have sculpture parks, in others the park itself is a work of art and tells a story of culture and trends through time.

The Romantic Garden Sanderumgaard
Explore the Romantic Garden, which was recreated by the current owners between 2004 and 2010. The garden reflects the peaceful style originally created by Johan Bülow in the period 1793-1828.
Street and City Art
Sculptures and street art help set the mood in the center of Odense. See ROA's beautiful fish and bird on the silo building at the harbour, the beautiful gable portrait of H.C. Andersen in Bangs Boder and the latest addition - The City Tree mural.

Gold Frames in the Landscape
In several places on Funen, gold frames have been set up in the open countryside. The Faaborg Museum has 8 frames that match some of their paintings and the Johannes Larsen Museum is also preparing some. You can download the History Hunt Fyn app and see exactly where the frames are located. One of the experiences you get is that nature has changed radically during the approx. hundred years that have passed since Syberg, Larsen and their circle of artist friends lived on Funen.
History Hunt Find the app
This free app is developed in collaboration between the Funen Museums and the Cultural Region of Funen. It contains not only the Funen Painter's Route, but also "Spooky Odense", "The Royal Funen", "Óttars Journey" and "Musical Notes from Funen", which guides you around the Funen cultural history. The art route can be explored on foot, by bike and by car.
