10,000 years old and assembled for the winter break
For the first time during the winter break, museum curators will assemble the skeleton of Scandinavia's oldest human, the Koelbjerg Man, at TID – Museum of Odense.
The Koelbjerg Man was discovered in 1941 and is estimated to have been dead for around 10,000 years, making it the oldest skeletal find in Scandinavia. Initially, the skeleton was thought to belong to a woman, but a DNA analysis conducted in 2017 revealed it was actually a man.
The event takes place at TID – Museum of Odense during the winter break, with the museum open daily from 10 AM to 4 PM.
In addition to the Koelbjerg Man, you can discover many other fascinating stories from the world of archaeology when you visit TID.
