Danish Beer Day
Beer is more than just beer. Beer is culture. Beer is a tradition. And beer brings people together. On Saturday 4 September you can taste and experience the many facets of beer in central Odense.
Odense city centre is the setting for a pleasant day with good company, good tastings and exciting experiences. "Are you up for trying a new beer?" asks Thomas Madsen, local chairman of Danish Beer Enthusiasts Odense.
In Odense, we have a good tradition of celebrating Beer Day. During the day, we focus on beer and beer culture and get the whole city buzzing with beer activities. Programs, tasting glasses and tokens will be sold and can be exchanged for samples. You can sample at least 200 different beers around the city.
Points of sale: Flakhaven - Kick Off Sportspub - H.J.Hansens gård
The annual Danish Beer Day first began in 2003, started by the Danish Beer Enthusiasts. For the first two years, activities took place on the association's foundation day on 5 September. From 2005 the name has been Beer Day, and for practical reasons, the date has changed to the first Saturday in September.
